Birthday Girl, World Series MVP, and Player of the Game

Yesterday we celebrated my daughter’s eleventh birthday with a fun filled Halloween themed birthday party. We had a costume contest, haunted house, and lots of fun games. I can’t believe it has been eleven years since she was born. I love her more than words can express and I am so proud of her.

Yesterday the Cardinals also won the World Series. It is the exact date that Eckstein and Spiezio won their first World Series rings in 2002. I was so happy to see David Eckstein receive the MVP award for the World Series. It was a sad day when I heard that the Angels were not offering him a contract and were signing Orlando Cabrera. The Angels could have probably paid Eckstein 2 million per season but instead they are paying Cabrera $32 million for 4 years. They have made so many blunders since 2002, it is surprising they remain competitive. Below is a photo of my daughter and I with David Eckstein during the 2002 season.

Today my son hit his first double in little league and was named the player of the game. I also love him beyond words and I am so proud of him. Below is a card I made for him.
