Well since we were up north and my Dad was in Arizona, we are celebrating Father’s Day a week later with a bbq at my house. Happy Father’s Day to my Dad. The photo below is a much younger picture of him that is posted on the USS Isle Royale Web site.
Well I am writing this from Solvang, California on the last day of our vacation. We started off in San Luis Obispo, went to Morro Bay, Hearst Castle, took the beautiful but brutal drive up PCH, went to the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, went to the Oakland Colisseum to see the Dodgers – A’s game, went to Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, saw the Golden Gate Bridge, went to the Aquarium at the Bay, and watched the Angels – Giants game at AT&T Park. It was an awesome trip and I am sad to see it end. Check out this photo of the kids with the Golden Gate bridge.
I took a photo of my Mom during our tailgate at the Angels game when Jered Weaver made his debut. This date was also when Steve Ambriz’ daughter threw out the first pitch before the game. We wore Hawaiian shirts in honor of Steve. The photo I took of my Mom in front of the Big A was the runner up in the Amateur Photographer Sports/Entertainment category. The photos will be posted on the Internet and also on display at city hall. Check out the link by clicking here.
