On July 1, 2017 I attended Depeche Mode’s concert at Stade De France in Paris, France. It was the first and only time I’ve seen the band in Europe, which was always a dream of mine. I had golden circle floor tickets, which was the closest area to the stage. There was a second floor section after this one. It was cool to see that they served beers in Depeche Mode beer cups. I had a beer outside the stadium and got my first cup. I was even happier to find that they actually had guys with mini kegs selling beers in these cups on the floor. This definitely doesn’t happen in California. There were 4 different cups, so of course I had to make sure to get all 4.
We settled in a pretty decent spot on the floor. I was on Fletch’s side which is less preferable but I had seen Depeche Mode perform in April at a small rehearsal studio in Hollywood and was directly in front of Martin at that time. Here’s a selfie video of where I settled.
I had seen Depeche Mode perform their iconic Rose Bowl show in Pasadena and attended one of their shows at Dodger Stadium but it had been 27 years since I’d seen them at a stadium. This was the first time that I’d seen them actually come out while it was still daylight. Some of my pictures and videos from the show are posted below:
